Questions & answers

The things people ask us most — about web design, software, and 3D printing. Can't see yours? Just ask.

Web design

Do you use templates or page builders?

No — every site is built from scratch in plain HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript. No theme, no plugin stack, nothing extra weighing the page down, and nothing to untangle later when something needs to change.

What's included in a business or product site?

Usually a home page, an about or story page, what you offer, and a contact method that actually gets used — built around your own structure, not a template's.

I only need one page for a launch — is that too small a job?

Not at all — that's a landing page. One focused page doing one job: getting people to book, buy, sign up or get in touch. Quicker to build and launch than a full site, and easy to retire once it's done its job.

Can you replace my existing site without losing what works?

Yes — that's a refresh or rebuild. We keep what the old site got right (the copy, the structure, what people actually land on it looking for) and rebuild the parts that don't: usually the speed, the mobile experience, or how easy it is to change something yourself afterwards.

Software

What kind of software do you build?

Software shaped around how an organisation actually works, rather than forcing it to bend around generic tools. RescueDB is the real example — built for and used daily in an actual rescue.

Is RescueDB the only thing you build?

It's the only software we've built and shipped so far. If you've got a different problem that needs solving, we're happy to talk it through.

Where can I see what RescueDB costs, or the practical details?

All on the RescueDB page — pricing, hardware, data and security are covered there in depth, including its own quick-answer FAQ.

3D printing

What kind of things can you print?

Custom and one-off objects designed around a specific need, replacement or spare parts, and prototypes or small runs. If it can be printed, we'll help you make it.

Can you recreate a broken or discontinued part?

Usually, yes. Send us the broken part, a photo, or rough measurements — we model it, print a test fit to check, then print the finished piece. Most jobs like this are just the one part.

Do you only do one-offs, or small batches too?

Both. We can iterate a design over a few test prints, then print a proper batch once it's right — cage tags for a whole shelter, a fixture for every van in a fleet, ten of something instead of one.

Is anything available to buy without a custom order?

A few pieces are listed on our Etsy shop, ready to buy — everything else we make to order.

About Build-3D

Do you use AI to build your software and sites?

Yes — like most modern developers and designers, we use AI tooling to work faster and catch more. It's a tool, the same way a designer uses a drawing program. Every decision, every line of code and every design choice is reviewed, tested and stood behind by a real person — the design, the build and the support are all ours.

Still have a question?

Ask anything — there's no sales script and no pressure, just a real answer.
