One system for the whole rescue — built around how rescue actually works, not adapted from generic shelter software.

Most rescues run on a patchwork of spreadsheets, paper, and memory — or pay every month for generic shelter software built for somewhere else.
RescueDB is a complete animal-management system shaped around how your rescue actually works — everything from daily care rounds through to adoption outcomes, in one place. Built and refined in a live, working rescue.
From the morning meds round to the year-end report, it's all one system — here's what that looks like.
The morning round, on a screen. Every medication checked off per shift and per animal — given, skipped with a reason, or still pending — colour-coded so the floor sees at a glance what's done and what's left. Review any past date, or print the round sheet.

One permanent profile per animal — photos, history, microchip and vaccination details, bonded pairs, allergies, and the full adoption and foster history. It stays on file even after they've been rehomed.

Per-animal medication schedules, weight trends graphed over time, and a complete medical log — vet visits, treatments, and records imported straight from a PDF. A built-in drug reference covers every medication and diet in use, and upcoming appointments are flagged on the animal's profile.

A year-by-year dashboard — intakes, adoptions, average days in rescue, and species & breed breakdowns — with role-based access, a full audit trail, nightly backups and PDF export.

Export any animal as a print-ready 6×4″ card that drops straight into our 3D-printed Universal Name Plate — every animal's details, right on the front of the pen.
Staff run the daily round straight from their phone — checking off medications at the kennel, logging weights and health notes by the pen, snapping photos on the spot. It keeps working with no signal and syncs back to your server the moment it's in range.

Commercial rescue-management systems exist — but few are built for the UK, most charge per-seat or monthly cloud fees, and none are shaped around your rescue.
| Option | Typical cost | Built around your rescue? |
|---|---|---|
| RescueDB Self-hostedby Build-3D | From £240 / month+ £800 one-off, no cloud fees | Yes — tailored to you |
| AniLogClosest UK equivalent | ~£200–500 / monthquote-based | No — general-purpose |
| ShelterBuddyUS-based platform | ~£300–600 / month+cloud-hosted | No — built for a generic rescue |
Commercial pricing also rarely covers the cost of switching — retraining staff, migrating records, and bending your workflows to fit software built for someone else. RescueDB is shaped around your workflows, not the other way round.
A small dedicated server is installed on-site and configured on your network, staff are trained on the system, and your existing records are checked so they can be imported cleanly.
Maintenance and monitoring, regular updates and improvements, prompt response to issues, and new features developed in line with how your rescue evolves.
Pick the level of support that suits your rescue, and step up whenever you need more:
Every plan sits below the lower end of comparable commercial systems, with no per-seat charges. The one-off setup is billed at the start; monthly support begins once your system is live.
The data is always entirely your own. The system keeps working whether or not the support arrangement continues — nothing is locked behind a subscription or held by Build-3D.
If you ever end the plan — after the initial 12-month term — the system simply stays in its last working state, with all records intact and accessible. There's no hostage-taking of your data, and no scramble to export before a renewal date.
All data lives on your own hardware — no third-party service stores or handles rescue or adopter records.
Each staff member signs in, with permissions scoped to their role.
Every action is recorded, so there's always a clear history of who did what.
Kept locally, with an optional encrypted off-site copy.
On-site and remote access are both encrypted; remote runs over a private, encrypted tunnel.
The security architecture is documented and can be shared for independent review.
RescueDB has been built and refined in a live rescue environment. We'd be happy to give you a demo and talk through what it would look like set up around your own organisation.
